Do you have a child or a dog? If you do, you know that you love them with everything you got. You would be devastated if anything were to happen to them, right? Unfortunately, this world is not a perfect place. There are children and dogs around the world that are in desperate need of help. They’re in abusive, neglectful, or abandonment-related situations. It’s not hopeless though. There’s an organization dedicated to helping this exact cause: Voices Out.
Voices Out is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide a voice for and aid children and animals in neglectful, abusive and abandoned conditions and to assist and provide programs with long-term solutions for their welfare. They are also one of the amazing charities we have the delight and honor of working with for our Annual Anniversary and Charity Gala. Voices Out was founded by Shani Rigsbee and Andy Madadian, both of whom are renowned artists in the Persian music scene and will be performing for us at our gala.
As if you needed any more of a reason to donate to their cause, Voices Out went on a mission trip to Armenia in 2016 where they met with refugees from Syria and Azerbaijan. They established a Youth Fellowship program to help refugee children and educate and support them through arts, music, and sports programs. In Armenia, they also visited Centaur, where humans and animals live together in harmony, and nature provides an incredible animal-assisted therapy for children with disabilities.
Look at your child or your dog. You would do anything to protect them. You can also help others in need by simply donating HERE, or better yet coming to our Charity Gala where all proceeds of our silent auction go to Voices Out as well as another charity organization, the Iranian-American Community Center (IACC).
