DJ, producer, musician, and entrepreneur, Eric Jao (also known as DJ Enferno), has been a music professional for 28 years and has performed for over 3 million people in 35 countries including touring with Madonna in the 2008-2009 Sticky & Sweet World Tour.
Eric has produced concert music for Madonna, Shakira, and the Michael Jackson Cirque Du Soleil shows. In addition, Eric’s remixes have been released on Interscope, Warner Bros Music, and Universal. Eric notably opened for 20th Century FOX’s presentation at Cinemacon (2015), performing a self-produced ‘live’ remix of the Peanuts Theme, which was later licensed and included in 2015 Peanuts Movie bonus features.
His current gig schedule balances his hometown DC club and private event performances with regular trips to venues across America, and occasional trips around the world.
With Music Interactive (www.music-interactive.com) Eric helps corporate teams boost connections and creativity through Team Building Workshops. These workshops engage teams in creating original music, using company and team values as the theme.
Eric also performs a truly unique interactive show with Music Interactive ‘Live’. In these shows, Eric creates and performs an improvised song on-the-spot using audience volunteers and crowd participation.
Beyond the stage, studio, and corporate world, Eric also teaches kids at his brick-and-mortar music technology school, Mix Major, located in Herndon, VA. At Mix Major, Eric teaches kids grades 3-12 how to make music with computers, empowering them with 21st century creative technology skills.
His goal is to use music technology to create an inclusive environment for all kids to participate in music, regardless of their ability to play an instrument.
In addition, Eric inspires children through Interactive Music Assemblies for 400+ kids at a time in local schools.
As well, Eric creates and publishes free educational video content for traditional music educators with his Teacher TV Youtube Channel. With Teacher TV, Eric is helping music educators create a bigger impact on the lives of children..
